"Progression you earn, attributes you discover, blessings you choose."

Everything in poqpoq World grows. Nothing diminishes. Your journey only moves forward. There are no resets, no nerfs, and no lost progress. The Akashic Record tracks your soul across every world, every session, every avatar. Outfits change, worlds change -- your Record persists.

The Dual Progression Model

Your character grows along two parallel tracks. The first, Akashic Essences, measures what you have done -- a rising tide that rewards all activity. The second, Core Attributes, defines who you are -- twelve capabilities shaped by the choices you make, the deities you bond with, and the quests you complete.

Together they form your Akashic Record: a living portrait of your journey.

Layer 1: Akashic Essences

Essences are soul currencies that grow passively from everything you do. You never spend them on consumables and they never decrease. They represent the breadth of your experience.

Resonance

Earned from everything

The primary measure of your experience. Resonance accumulates from combat, exploration, building, socializing, and every other activity. It determines your Akashic Rank and unlocks access to higher-tier deities and content.

Wisdom

Earned from quests, lore, and learning

Grows when you complete quest chains, discover lore fragments, and engage with the world's stories. Higher Wisdom unlocks deeper interpretations of the Akashic Record and hidden narrative paths.

Creativity

Earned from building and donations

Rewards the makers. Place objects, construct buildings, donate items, or contribute original content. Creativity essence fuels access to advanced building tools and generation features.

Connection

Earned from social activity and helping others

The social soul. Grows from group activities, helping new players, forming parties, and community participation. Higher Connection amplifies the effects of your other activities.

Akashic Rank

Your Akashic Rank is a number from 1 to 100 (and beyond), determined by your total Resonance. As you accumulate Resonance through play, your rank climbs automatically. Each rank comes with a title that reflects your standing.

1 - 9	Noob	Just arrived. Everything is new.
10 - 19	Fledgling	Finding your feet. The world is opening up.
20 - 29	Adventurer	You have stories to tell. Deities take notice.
30 - 39	Pathfinder	Charting your own course. Others follow your lead.
50 - 59	Sage	Deep knowledge. Your Record is rich with experience.
70 - 79	Grandmaster	Among the most accomplished. Your name carries weight.
90 - 99	Transcendent	The pinnacle. Your Record is the stuff of legend.

After rank 100, titles cycle again with a new badge tier color. A rank-215 character is a "Jade Fledgling" -- same title, different era. There are 20 named badge tiers ranging from Emerald through Gold to Eternal, each with a distinct color that marks your veteran status at a glance.

Akashic Strengths

Strengths are derived traits computed from pairs of your attributes. They represent emergent capabilities -- what happens when two skills combine. You do not level Strengths directly; they rise and fall as your attributes change. There are 36 total, but three headline Strengths define your character's identity.

Discovery Your aptitude for finding hidden things. Driven by Agility and Cunning, Discovery determines how easily you spot secrets, hidden paths, and rare collectibles scattered through the world.

Interpretation Your ability to understand what you find. Fueled by Wisdom and Magic, Interpretation governs how deeply you can read lore fragments, decode ancient texts, and unlock narrative branches.

Influence Your reach in the social world. Powered by Charisma and Leadership, Influence affects group sizes, social bonuses, and how effectively you can rally other players.

Beyond these three, dozens of other Strengths emerge from different attribute pairings: Battlemage (Strength + Magic), Prowess (Strength + Agility), Prophecy (Magic + Faith), and more. Your top three Strengths appear on your character panel and define your play style at a glance.

Layer 2: Core Attributes

Twelve attributes, organized across four axes, define your character's capabilities. Each attribute affects specific gameplay systems, grows through particular activities, and combines with others to produce Strengths.

Strength Physical

Raw physical power. Determines hit points, melee damage, and carry capacity.

Grows from: Building, object placement

Affects: HP, melee damage, stamina

Agility Physical

Speed and reflexes. Determines dodge chance, movement speed, and jump height.

Grows from: Exploration, token collection

Affects: Dodge chance, movement speed

Endurance Physical

Staying power. Determines stamina pool, damage reduction, and how long you can sustain activity before tiring.

Grows from: Sustained activity, survival

Affects: Stamina, damage reduction

Magic Mental

Arcane power. Determines mana pool and spell damage. The foundation of all magical ability.

Grows from: Using tools, construction

Affects: Mana, spell damage

Wisdom Mental

Depth of understanding. Determines mana regeneration, spell resistance, and your ability to interpret lore.

Cunning Mental

Wit and problem-solving. Determines critical hit chance, trap detection, and how many secrets are visible to you.

Inventive capacity. Determines crafting quality and unlocks advanced building techniques.

Artistry Creative

Aesthetic sense. Affects the visual quality of your creations and unlocks decorative elements others cannot access.

Grows from: Decoration, design work

Innovation Creative

The spark of the new. Reduces ability cooldowns, increases discovery rates, and opens paths that conventional thinkers overlook.

Starting Attributes

When you first enter poqpoq World, you are presented with three randomly generated attribute profiles. Each profile distributes points differently across the twelve attributes, creating a unique character shape. You choose the one that feels right.

Every profile has the same total power -- the difference is in the distribution. One might favor physical prowess, another arcane potential, a third social grace. The choice is about identity, not optimization.

Discovery, Not Optimization

Individual attribute values range from 5 to 10 at creation. There is no manual point allocation -- you are discovering who your character naturally is, not engineering a build. Your top three derived Strengths are highlighted on each profile to help you choose. You might see "The Battlemage" with Powerful, Strategic, and Athletic -- or "The Oracle" with Wise, Devout, and Persuasive. Pick the one that speaks to you.

Attributes have real mechanical impact from the moment you enter the world. Here is how two key attributes scale as they grow.

How Attributes Grow

Attributes grow through activity, not manual leveling. There is no "level up" screen where you distribute points. Instead, your attributes increase naturally based on what you do: building strengthens Strength, exploring sharpens Agility, solving puzzles hones Cunning.

Base growth (activity-driven)

0 Diminishing returns after 30 Soft cap: 50

Activity alone can push an attribute to 50. Growth is steady early on but slows after 30, reflecting natural mastery curves. Getting from 1 to 20 is fast; getting from 40 to 50 takes real dedication.

Legendary growth (with deity blessings)

50 Deity blessings + quests Hard cap: 100

Breaking past 50 requires deity bonds, rare quest rewards, and exceptional achievements. Reaching 100 in any attribute is a legendary accomplishment that marks you as one of the world's most dedicated players.

Layer 3: Deity Blessings

Bond with a deity to receive permanent attribute bonuses that push you beyond the soft cap. Each deity favors specific attributes: Artemis sharpens your Agility, Athena deepens your Wisdom, Mars amplifies your Strength. Your Faith attribute determines how strongly these blessings affect you -- at high Faith, blessing bonuses can double.

An Example Journey

Here is what progression looks like for a new player discovering poqpoq World.

Day 1

Arrival

You choose your attribute profile from three options. Your character is "The Pathfinder" -- a balance of Agility, Cunning, and Wisdom. You enter the world at Rank 1 (Noob) with all four essences at zero. Exploring the starting area earns your first Resonance. You find a few tokens, and your Agility ticks up by 1.

Week 1

Finding Your Path

You have climbed to Rank 5 (Noob) through steady exploration and a handful of quests. Wisdom essence is building from lore you have collected. You complete your first quest chain, earning +2 Cunning. A tier-1 deity, Artemis, is now available to bond with. Your Agility sits at 14 from all the exploring.

Month 1

The Record Takes Shape

Rank 18 (Fledgling). You bonded with Artemis, gaining +6 Agility and +4 Cunning from her blessing. Your Agility is now 28 and your dodge chance is noticeable in combat. You have joined a group of builders, pushing your Connection essence higher. Your top three Strengths have shifted from the starting profile -- you are becoming something the game did not predict. Your Record is uniquely yours.
